Saibaba Electronics was founded in 1989 by two brothers Yogesh Modi & Anand Modi.  Yogesh Modi started his career as a Radio TV Instructor at ITI in 1987.  When Yogesh Modi first started out, his passion to serve the people of Silvassa drove him to start a business.  He opened his first store at Red Cross Bhavan dealing with small electronics that were relevant at that time. Anand Modi also joined the business full-time, while Yogesh Modi was still working as an instructor at ITI and simultaneously handling the business. After getting a great response from the people of Silvassa, the Modi brothers started to expand their business, 1 shop became 2, then 3, and then a lot more.  They started to expand on the brands they carried, and they expanded their team as well according to the needs of the people in Silvassa. Currently, Saibaba Electronics has employees who started working when the business was first initiated. The business employs 35+ people and some of them have 25+ years of experience working with Saibaba Electronics.

After graduating from SEMCOM in 2013, Yogesh Modi’s son, Aakash Modi, also joined the family business.  In 2014, the family unexpectedly lost Anand Modi.  In 2016, Aakash Modi and Yogesh Modi opened an electronics megamall.  This allowed Aakash Modi’s new generational thinking and Yogesh Modi’s years of experience to come together.  Yogesh Modi left his job as an instructor at ITI to run the business with his son full-time, which led to even more expansions.  In 2020, after graduating from SEMCOM, Anand Modi’s son, Jenil Modi, also joined the family business. In 2021, Yogesh Modi unexpectedly passed away, leaving the younger generation with a wealth of knowledge and both of their fathers’ years of experience to run the business together.  Currently, Saibaba Electronics is Silvassa’s #1 electronics retailer with 32 years of huge experience in the business.
